New 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe Caught Testing and Reviews

Hyundai Santa Fe ix45

Korean car maker Hyundai has been caught testing the replacement for its mid-sized SUV, the Hyundai Santa Fe.

The Santa Fe tops Hyundai’s range in the UK (unless you count the i800 van based people mover) and comes with a four cylinder 2.2 common rail diesel turbo, churning out 194bhp and 311lb/ft of torque.  Other markets get a range of petrol engines however, ranging in size from a 2.4 to 3.7 litres.

We don’t know much about the new Hyundai Santa Fe, other than it’s quite likely not to be called that — the SUV is the only car in the Hyundai range with a name rather than an ‘i’ and number based badge, so expect the new model to conform with a new ‘ix45′ moniker.

The car is expected to debut at the end of this year and go on sale in the UK early in 2012, priced from around £24,000.
