SEAT’s fleet and business sales operation is celebrating an outstanding doubling of its September registrations. The Exeo, Alhambra and Ecomotive models lead this sales charge.
With September’s sales now accounted for and the official Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders’ (SMMT) figures published, SEAT has seen its share of the hard-fought fleet market soar to a record 2.5% and 3,830 sales.
That’s a remarkable 100.7% increase on September 2010 which was also a very strong month. The September sales surge underlines the success of SEAT’s drive to become a significant force in the UK fleet market.
Commenting on the especially strong September performance, SEAT UK National Fleet Sales Manager Sally Livingstone-Dennis said: ‘These fabulous figures underline the success we are having in what is and will remain a very tough fleet market. The initiatives we have put in place over the past couple of years, including investments in both people and systems are now bearing fruit. I’m convinced that this successful performance will continue.’
Last year SEAT opened its flagship Fleet Business Centre, designed to work as an extension to the SEAT UK Fleet and Business field sales team and dealer network.
Offering phone and online support, the centre makes SEAT’s fleet and business sales operation easily accessible and improves customers’ experience of dealing with the brand.
It operates as a first port of call, letting SEAT fleet and business customers get the latest information quickly and simply. The centre provides everything from brochures, pricing information and technical data to sales meeting appointments and demonstrator bookings.
Meanwhile, SEAT’s newly-created network of Fleet and Business Sales specialist dealers, which include sites run by retailing giants Sytner Group, Listers, Gilder Group and Spire Automotive, continue to make headway with SME customers nationwide. SEAT’s list of blue chip corporate clients continues to grow as awareness of, and satisfaction with, the brand’s dynamic and attractive range develops. Recent recruits to the SEAT client list include Barclays Bank and National Grid.
Motability customers too, are increasingly turning to the SEAT line-up. There are now Motability specialists in the vast majority of SEAT dealerships nationwide. The charity continues to rate SEAT highly, having named it ‘best Manufacturer Partner’ at its 2010 Supplier Awards and awarding the Brand a ‘highly commended’ position in the same category this year.
The recent addition of a Multitronic gearbox option in the business class Exeo saloon and ST, as well as the relentless assault on CO2 emissions by SEAT’s extensive range of Ecomotive models, is making the product line up even more appealing to fleet managers and users alike.
