VW Announces New CC Prices

Following its launch at the Los Angeles Motor Show in November, Volkswagen have announced the UK pricing structure for their new CC model (pictures to follow shortly)

Billed as luxury motoring without the luxury price tag, VW’s new top-end saloon is now available to order in the UK, with the first deliveries being made in April.

The entry level model, the 1.8 litre TSI 160 PS costs just £21,200, while the top of the range GT 2.0 litre TDI 170 PS DSG is priced at a very reasonable £30,100.

What’s new?

VW have been keen to keep the qualities that made the CC’s predecessor, the Passat CC, popular.

So four-door practicality is still combined with sleek coupe styling, but given a twist with VW’s new design language.

As a result, the VW CC is a lean, quietly powerful looking machine, that thrusts forward with a strong horizontal line on the front radiator grille.

Both front and rear bumpers have been remodeled to offer more striking lines, and the VW CC’s rear end now sports freshly designed LED lights.

Luxury as standard

VW are generous with their as-standard specification, including a wide range of features to ensure comfort, safety and style.

Every model in the VW CC range comes with a touchscreen sat-nav package, a DAB digital radio, 2Zone climate control, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity.

The exterior boasts 17 inch alloys and bi-xenon headlights, as well as a brake energy regeneration system.

The VW CC’s system encompasses an Electronic Stabilisation Programme, a driver alert system and front head rests that are specially designed to minimise the risk of whiplash injuries in collisions.

Enviable GT trim levels

VW have gone to town on the trim for the six GT CC models. Inside, occupants are treated to heated front seats, Nappa leather upholstery and heat insulating tinted glass.

Driving is made even smoother and easier with cruise control, front and rear parking sensors and three-mode chassis control.

Upgraded exterior features include 18 inch alloy wheels and front fog lights.

Then take your pick from the extras

You can also choose from a range of add-ons for the VW CC, from the luxurious front climate seats with an inbuilt massage function to the latest safety technology.

These include a rear-view camera for extra-safe parking and reversing, lane assist and an adaptive cruise control with a City Emergency Braking function.

Other extras are High Beam Assist, which dips headlights automatically, and Side Assist, which monitors the VW CC’s blind spot.
