Introducing: the 2013 Mazda 5 TS2
This is a sensible family car. But it’s fun too, and that makes all the difference! Mazda have aimed for the balance between a ‘drivers car’ and an MPV and in pretty much every respect they have achieved it with the TS2.
Marketed as a five seater, there is the option of having an additional two seats in the rear, making seven in total, as well as the option of motorised rear sliding doors, making this an excellent MPV. It should be noted that the middle seat in the 5 seat configuration is not ideal for long journeys, but early reports from satisfied users indicate that this is hardly a problem, especially when the two optional extra seats come into play.
The 2.0 litre petrol engine is a new development for Mazda and features sequential valve timing, which we’re told enhances the combustion efficiency of the engine delivering more torque more quickly. The six-speed box helps with the fuel economy to the tune of 4% as well as helping to lower CO2 emissions.
2013 Mazda 5 TS2Inside the cabin, the Mazda 5 has had a re-design with improved materials and comes with host of extras including bluetooth connectivity, rear parking sensors, tinted privacy glass, auto wipe facility and dusk sensing headlights. The dashboard if ‘fuss free’ has large rotary dials for stereo and ventilation.
As you would expect on a family car, safety is paramount with the inclusion of six airbags as well as a host of driver assist features such as ABS, emergency brake assist and electronic brake-force distribution. For complete reassurance, the Mazda 5 scored the maximum five stars in the EuroNCAP safety awards.
If you are looking for a good all round vehicle for the family, that is comfortable and practical whilst still fun to drive, look no further than the 2013 Mazda 5 TS2.
There are excellent finance packages available on the Mazda 5 TS2 including Contract Hire, Lease Hire, Contract Hire, Contract Purchase or Private Contract Purchase or if you prefer to buy for cash, there are great discounts available as well.
