Aston reveal 2014 V12 Vantage S Roadster – their fastest ever convertible
This is the 201 mph Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster, the fastest drop-top Gaydon has ever produced.
Also taking the title of most powerful convertible they’ve ever made the S Roadster will replace the standard roofless Vantage when it arrives later this year. A bit of fettling by Astons boffins saw the 6.0 litre V12 given a boost to 565 bhp for the S, with its 457 lb ft of torque pushing the Roadster to 62 mph in just 4.1 seconds. That increase in performance has been achieved with a brand new engine management system from German giants Bosch and a new seven-speed auto Sportshift III box, replacing the old 6-speed manual.
No price or release date confirmation yet, but since the Coupe S was £3,000 more than the standard V12, expect an increase in line with that.
