In case you missed it, the BMW i8 hybrid supercar is out in the wild (Id be surprised if you’re reading this and haven’t taken note of the excellent advertisements for this groundbreaking car). The i8 is powered by two drive trains a 1.5 litre three cylinder petrol engine serving the rears and a 129 bhp electric motor powering the front wheels. The question is, can this car deliver thrills and performance whilst offering frugal motoring and low emissions?
