Campaign for fair car parking
The Telegraph have started a campaign against overzealous councils and the instructions they give parking wardens.
The paper claims that some councils are “hell bent” on asking employees to issue illegal tickets, go to this link to see more on the article.
When I mentioned it in the office, I was told how some councils are apparently wanting to make parking tickets more friendly, perhaps put a joke on the plastic sleeve or an interesting fact, that would wind me up even more.
This is a worth while cause in my book, where our office is, traffic wardens are everywhere, and will pounce eager to give as many tickets as possible. Never mind all the closing shops in the town centre.
You just need to make sure you park in the expensive NCP multistory car park, and yes the traffic wardens contract with the council is with the NCP so isn’t that interesting!
