Citroen are ready to announce the specifications and pricing for their new DS5.
The refined Citroen DS5 is now available to pre-order for purchase, lease or finance (subject to status) in the UK, with the first deliveries being made from the 2 April.
The new flagship Citroen model is triumph of stunning design and functionality, living up to its DS heritage.
As expected from a model with such a remarkable design pedigree, the Citroen DS5 is both bold and beautiful.
Drawing inspiration from the glamour of early aviation, naturally the Citroen shows off sleek aerodynamic features and elegant flowing lines.
The new Citroen is immediately distinguishable as a DS model, with its chrome grille, dramatic front air-intakes and appealing gaze, emphasised by the striking LED light signatures.
A range of sophisticated and understated design elements in gloss black or chrome finish, show that this is no ordinary car.
These include the unique chrome sabres on the front of the Citroen, running from the headlights to the front windows.
Inside, the original and modern design is evident throughout the aviation inspired cockpit.
The Citroen DS5 uses only the best quality materials, like the finest-grain ‘Club’ leather for trim and upholstery.
One of the Citroen’s most stand-out interior features is the option to have the distinctive watchstrap style leather seat upholstery.
Ergonomics play as strong a role as aesthetics in the interior design, including the positioning of the central control and retractable head-up display.
This innovative new Citroen technology places vital driving information in the driver’s line of vision.
On the range topping Citroen DSport model, there’s even a driver’s seat with lumbar adjustment and a massage function.
Citroen have really gone to town on their star model, lavishing it with a remarkable range of technology for fun, safety and comfort.
Occupants of the DS5 can enjoy the Arkamys audio system, with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, and dual zone air conditioning.
Ease of driving is ensured with a colour reversing camera, lane departure warning system and an electronic stability programme that comes with integral hill-start assist and traction control.
Those who purchase, lease or finance the new Citroen also get automatic headlight activation and cruise control.
Scoring the maximum five-star NCAP rating, the Citroen DS5 has ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution and emergency braking assistance.
It also comes with a full complement of airbags, and an innovative cornering light that increases visibility dramatically.
Pricing and trims
Citroen have created three trim levels for the DS5: DSign, DStyle and DSport.
The DSign is available for purchase, lease or finance from £22,400, while the top of the range DSport THP 200 6-speed is priced at £28,000.
Citroen expects that the most popular DS5 for purchase will be the mid-range DStyle HDi.
