Kia Sorento Holds Onto Best SUV Crown
The Kia Sorento has held onto its enviable position as Total 4×4’s Best SUV for a second year running.
To retain its position, the Kia Sorento has again proved itself to be capable of beating a large number of higher-priced competitors.
Not just a bargain
Despite prices for the Kia Sorento starting at only £21,595, Alan Kidd, editor of Total 4×4 stressed that it took a lot more than its affordability for the Sorento to win again.
He praised the Kia Sorento for being “very good at everything that matters”, highlighting the SUV’s style, practicality, kit and seven year warranty in particular.

Kia’s Managing Director in the UK, Michael Cole, says that the Sorento has proved to be popular with a wide range of customers, since its launch in February.
It satisfies a wide range of demands, from people seeing off-road adventure to those looking for dependable all-weather driving and a tough on-road tower.
The Kia Sorento comes in both two and four wheel drive options, with the 4×4 model being honoured by the Best SUV award.
Key features include a 5 Star Euro NCAP safety rating, a choice of five or seven seats and dual climate control on the mid and top-end Sorento’s.

That’s what Kia promise with the Sorento and its easy to see why.
A range of diesel engines, all Euro-5 compliant, allow drivers to choose the balance between performance, fuel economy and CO2 emissions that’s right for them.
The Total 4×4 award winning four wheel drive models offer 42.2 and 38.2 mpg and maximum towing weight of up to 2,500 kg on the manual model.
The Kia Sorento offers superb safety specifications, including six airbags, Hill Start Assist, ABS, Electronic Stability Control and rear ISOFIX child seat anchors.
