Peugeot have excelled themselves with the 5008, managing to produce a stylish MPV that is both practical and well designed. In fact, so impressive is the new Peugeot 5008 that it earned the accolade of What Car MPV of the year for 2010!
With plenty of MPV’s on the market the challenge with any people carrier is to fit in seven seats unobtrusively and Peugeot have certainly achieved that. There is both a flexibility that is similar to the Touran from VW or the C4 Grand Picasso from Citroen and a driver appeal akin to the Mazda 5 and ford S-Max.
One of the main concerns with any MPV is ride comfort and the 5008 certainly delivers in this regard. With a range of engine choices available in both petrol and diesel, there are plenty of options to go for. The ride is smooth and the handling is impressive for a vehicle of its size with good grip and well weighted steering.
Safety, as always, has been given precedence with the inclusion of front and side airbags for the front two seats and curtain airbags through the length of the cabin. Stability control also comes as standard to help reduce the possibility of an accident happening in the first place.
There are plenty of seating options throughout the cabin which offers the flexibility that any MPV needs. There are plenty of load spaces and all five rear seats fold away if required. Equipment levels are excellent with even the entry level model featuring air conditioning and front electric windows. However on the 5008 Hdi 112 full colour sat-nav and bluetooth are also included!
What is now all the more amazing with this impressive MPV is its affordability on lease finance from OSV. Call our sales team now to find out how you could be driving the What Car MPV of 2010!
