CarThrottle’s Matt Robinson asks us what would we prefer, the Standard ST or the New Seat Leon X-Perience
Estate cars with off-road pretensions are nothing new, just look at the Audi A4 Allroad and Volvo XC70. Now though, Seat wants in on the action, and has given its pretty Leon ST a crossover makeover. Just like other off-roading estates, the Leon X-Perience has the ride jacked up (by 15mm in this case), and has chunky grey plastic cladding at the bottom of the bumpers, sills, and around the wheel arches.
Under the bonnet, you have the choice of three engines. Theres a 1.8-litre petrol with 178bhp and 206lb ft of torque, a 2.0-litre diesel which manages 181bhp and a punchy 280lb ft, and a 1.6-litre diesel which manages a decent 148bhp and 236lb ft.
