WhatCar recently gave this car 2 stars out of 5. It scored badly on cabin trim so this revision may improve its score.
Changes to the Toyota Auris this summer include the introduction of a new, second-from-the-top trim level called Icon Plus.
For an extra £800 (or £900 in the case of Hybrid models) over the cost of the Icon, the Plus offers 16″ alloy wheels of a new design, along with rear privacy glass, folding door mirrors and, for petrol-fuelled cars, cruise control.
More generally, the Icon gets Toyota’s uprated Touch 2 multimedia system, while the Icon Plus and Excel come as standard with Touch 2 with Go, which includes satellite navigation and improved connectivity.
