Who needs a Porsche 918 when you can have a Porsche 911 Turbo S
The Porsche 918 is the fastest road car Stuttgart has ever built. Armed with 875bhp of combined V8 and electric power, it’ll officially do 0-62mph in 2.8 seconds, and 217 mph all-in. Theres not much in the world that’ll keep pace with it.
With a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat six stuffing 553bhp to all four wheels, Porsche says the 911 Turbo S will get from 0-62mph in 3.1 seconds, with a top speed knocking on the door of 200mph. Near enough to the 918, then, to make things mighty interesting in a drag race.
So just how close can the relatively affordable 911 Turbo S – a mere £140,000 to you, sir – push the £700,000 918?
