The history of Aston Martin

Founded in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford, they made cars to compete in the French Grand Prix in the 1920s.

In the 1950s, Aston Martin became associated with expensive and luxury touring cars. In the 1960s they became even more well-known when MI6 super-spy James Bond drove the DB9 in Goldfinger.

A quintessentially British car brand with a colourful history, having gone through peaks and troughs several times since the company was started. In 2016, with the release of the DB11, Aston Martin saw their fortunes change again for the good. In 2018 they collaborated with pram manufacturer Silver Cross to make a collection of stylish baby wares.
