The Audi Q5: it’s time for change

The time for change in the SUV market is now, says Audi, as they prepare their new line of SUV vehicle, the Audi Q5, for an October debut. This is good news for customers looking for a ‘breath of fresh air’, with the car available to order late May.

In line with its custom of providing elegant luxury and quality driving, the Audi Q5 features start-stop functionality, electro-mechanical steering and some new revision on the suspension system.

Audi will launch the Q5 in four engine options; two TDI and two TFSI. The 2.0 TDI versions come with 177PS and 380Nm, while the 3.0 TDI will feature 245PS and 580Nm.

The TFSI Audi Q5 versions will comprise 2.0 TFSI with 225PS and 350Nm and 3.0 TFSI with 272PS and 400Nm.

All engines showcase direct injection features, with start-stop system for easier driving. Enhanced performance is the key behind their development, with all versions offering fuel economy.

Audi Q5 2.0 TDI is the first of the line and is built for speed and simplicity, offering 47.1 mpg. The 3.0 TDI is next and is a V6 themed diesel car with the ability to offer 44.1 mpg for a truly faster acceleration experience.

With seven speed S tronic twin-clutch transmission, the Audi Q5 powers from 0 to 62mph in less than 7 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 140mph.

The engine technology for Audi Q5 is state of the art, with control systems for the valves and stroke, new thermal management, turbocharger and integration of the exhaust manifold into the cylinder head.
