Lexus is so reliable that, in the most recent survey conducted by Which?, they came in at number 1 out of 36 car manufacturers reviewed, as well as earning 5 stars out of 5.
The luxury division of Toyota, Lexus was founded in 1989, started with a single project set up to develop a premium car, which ended up being the Lexus LS.
Lexus was introduced to the UK in 1990, experiencing success similar to that which they experience in the US – where demand for their cars was incredibly high.
Eventually Lexus added other models to their line, all of which were exported for sale outside Japan (where they didn’t sell cars until 2005).
The original Lexus slogan was “The relentless pursuit of perfection” and this is something that the brand continues to do to this day.
