Peugeots’s New 208 R2 Rally Car Unveiled By Peugeot Sport

To build on the phenomenal achievements of the exemplary 205, 206 and 207 models, Peugeot has revealed a competition version – the 208 R2 rally car.

The 208 R2 rally car is a motor sport derivative of the R2 that gives a glimpse of Peugeot’s potential to remain relevant and competitive on track.

With the 208 model, Peugeot has found the platform to build a completely new motoring icon in-line with UK market competition. It is powered by a 1.6-litre engine and 140 pound-feet running through a five-speed sequential gearbox.

The 208 R2 will be available in the UK auto-market making it the first ‘zero’ emissions car of its kind and is perfectly poised to become the best-selling vehicle in the UK.

With an affordable price tag too, the R2 model stands out as the ultimate choice for individuals wishing to have a taste of its rallying potential.

The 208 R2 is expected to replace the RC rally, courtesy of its improved performance, efficiency and economy on fuel and with the regenerated styling, the 208 R2 is trendy and impressive both inside and out.

The rally performance version of the Peugeot 208 packs in the best of rally motorsport technology and comes with a specially modified suspension and brakes along with Michelin performance tyres.

With the 208, Peugeot has given itself the means to create a new motoring icon.
