Mazda Reliability

Mazda has become a pioneer in the development of technology to improve fuel economy. These technologies are manufactured under the name SkyActiv and used in a number of the company’s newer cars.

Mazda is very reliable. When looking at the reports from both Reliability Index and Which? the car manufacturer receives positive reviews. In the most recent reliability survey conducted by Which?, Mazda placed 10th out of the 36 brands looked at and earned 4 stars out of 5 for both new and older cars.

Mazda history

Mazda was founded in Japan in 1920, though they weren’t formally known as Mazda until 1984. They started out as a company which manufactured machine tools. In 1931 the company turned its attention to the design and manufacture of cars with the introduction of the Mazda-Go autorickshaw.

The company has come a long way since the days of the autorickshaw. They had a successful 41 year partnership with Ford which ended in 2015, and developed a record-breaking car in the Mazda MX-5, which was verified in 2014 as the best-selling two-seater convertible in history.
