Thieves “Drug Owners Dog” And Steal Luxury BMW

A gutted dog owner claims that her pet was drugged by thieves who stole her BMW 4 Series Coupe M Sport from her driveway in Melling.

The thieves pounced sometime between 2 and 7am on Saturday morning and sped off in the luxury red BMW 4 Series that can get from 0-60mph in less than 5 seconds. But in a rather cruel twist, the owner reckons those responsible had the temerity to recognise that she had a barking dog and popped by earlier in the day to drug it.

The female owner who does not wish to be named says that she had returned home from the cinema on the evening of the theft and noticed that her cross-breed dog was “unusually sleepy.” She suspects that the animal was drugged earlier in the day so as to neutralise it and prevent it from barking its head off when the assailants returned to nab the BMW.

BMW 4 Series “Stolen To Order”

Police are ready to pursue the possibility that the BMW 4 Series Coupe M Sport was stolen to order. Not only was the pet dog drugged, but the woman believes the thieves had already gained earlier access to her home because the door chime had been turned off from the inside.

It has all the hallmarks of a classic pre-planned job where a plush car is stolen to order. The BMW was a recent item purchased by the woman’s husband who recently died. The dog did not suffer a serious injury and has been looked at by vets.

Merseyside Police have opened an investigation. Anyone who has spotted the red BMW 4 Series with the registration MD15 YVX can call police on 1010 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
