Europe’s largest van marque, Renault, will once again be at this year’s CV Show at the NEC Birmingham. Renault will feature seven new models including the fully electric and zero emission Kangoo Van Z.E. (“Currently the “International Van of the Year”)
The French brand is set to “electrify”, with exhibits of their three Kangoo Vans, including a long wheelbase option of the 100% electric version, the new five-seat Crew Van Cab with an innovative multi-positional bulkhead and a long wheelbase Maxi. The Z.E will take centre stage.
This unique multi-positional bulkhead feature permits the rear row of seats and the metal mesh screen, including the headrests above, to fold forward completely. This allows the lower section to fold into the floor, giving a flat load area, enabling the higher section to sit behind the driver and passenger seats to protect them from objects in the load area. In keeping with its past and present F1 success, both will be decked out in the recently introduced Sport Trim.
A standard front-wheel drive panel van will round off the brand’s flagship sport trim level theme. It is complemented by a further five versions: six-seat Crew Van, Luton Low-Loader, Master Van (RWD), 17- seat minibus and a RWD double cab version of the new UK-converted Tipper range.
Renault will be “charging” ahead to prove that electric LCV’s can be affordable to run and good to drive, as well as offering a more relaxed driving environment, due to its near silent operation.
The Kangoo Van Z.E is the world’s first affordable 100 per cent electric vehicle and has also been voted “Van of the Year”, by What Car? magazine.
All Renault vans will be available in the UK.
